ON THE REALISATION OF THE FIRST PHASE OF THE ADMISSION TEST IN THE SCHOOL OF MAGISTRATES
The School of Magistrates, organized, on 22 April, 2024, the first phase of the admission test for the academic year 2024-2025, after the completion of the process of verification of documents, realized firstly by the School, and then by the High Judicial Council and the High Prosecutorial Council.
In the test took part 411 competitors.
The test was realized based on the law and on the Internal Regulation of the School of Magistrates, in the respect of the principles that guide a transparent process, competitive and based on merit.
Thesis of the admission test was created in the presence of competitors, with random selection of rubrics done by competitors themselves. The test lasted 2 (two) hours and 30 (thirty) minutes and was done under the monitoring of the School of Magistrates and of external monitors from the High Judicial Council, High Prosecutorial Council, Council of Europe, OSCE, and INL.
There were no contestations for the test process by competitors or monitors.
After the process of the test, School started the process of electronic evaluation, an evaluation that was done in the presence of competitors, in the test hall, after competitors submitted their exam papers completed by them.
The results were displayed on the monitor and candidates were notified of their scores immediately. 79 (seventy nine) competitors resulted to have received more than 60% of points.
The Commission of electronic evaluation and the administrator of the test noticed that some exam theses had a lower number of points. Also, from a quick view of the scantron paper, was noticed that the scantron device had read only 96 answers out of 100 answers of the key of the exam.
In these circumstances, together with the outcome of a low outcome of winners, of 79 competitors, and the claims of a number of competitors that were present to the examination hall for inaccuracies of the result, were considered by the administrator of the test and by the commission of electronic commission as important.
For this reason, the commission of electronic evaluation, decided to not make public immediately the list that was produced by the scantron, for to make additional verifications. In the above mentioned conditions, to the Commission of Electronic Evaluation, was made available a new device.
After the findings that the new device read correctly the key of the test thesis, the commission decided to pass all the theses for the evaluation of the results in the new device. At the end of the process, was noticed that the number of competitors that passed the threshold of 60 % of points to enter into the second phase of the test was 121 (one hundred and twenty one) competitors. The School declared publicly this result and notified publicly the change of the schedule of the second phase of the admission test, in the accomplishment of the obligation for the examination of all the claims of competitors in 24 hours from the moment of the publication of the list.
The School is making a process of administrative verification, simultaneously with the administration and evaluation of all applications for revision arrived from competitors, in the respect of their right to appeal.
We consider explaining that the School of Magistrates has the maximal engagement to make complete transparency in this process and of the results derived from it.
