In the context of cooperation with the Justice Academy of the Republic of Kosova and the Academy of Turkey, a delegation of the School of Magistrates takes part in the International Workshop on topic Combating Drug-related Crimes. The activity was done pursuant to the consolidation of cooperation between relevant academies of justice through the realization of common programs of training for the exchange of the best professional experiences in different fields of law.
The delegation from the School of Magistrates was composed by Mr. Arben Isaraj, Mr. Idlir Peçi and Mrs. Nurjeta Pogaçe – full – time lecturers of the School and 14 candidates for magistrate of profiles judge and prosecutor of the second year of studies.
The training activity was welcomed by the director of the Academy of Justice of Kosovo, Mr. Enver Fejzullahu, Head of the Supreme Court and at the same time Head of the Steering Council of the Academy of Justice of Kosovo Mr. Fejzullah Rexhepi, Mr Idlir Peçi, full-time lecturer of the School of Magistrates, Mr. Sabri Tunç Angili, ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, and Mr. Mehmet Yilmaz, Vice minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, and Mr. Blerim Sallahu, Vice minister of Justice of the Republic of Kosovo, whose welcome speeches were focused in the consolidation of relations between countries and the importance of the realization of common activities for the exchange of expertise and experiences between the three countries.
The activity was realized with the participation of experts from respective countries and elaborated different topics such as:
- Crimes related to narcotics in the context of international law;
- Practices of forensic medicine in crimes related to narcotics;
- Efficient methods of legal prosecution in crimes related to narcotics – legal practices from Turkey, Kosovo and Albania;
- Efficient methods of trial in crimes related to narcotics – trial practices from Turkey, Kosova and Albania.
Apart the training activity, were done also visits and meetings in different institutions of justice of Kosova such as in the Prosecutorial Council of Kosova, Ministry of Justice, Supreme Court, Judicial Council, and Academy of Justice of Kosova. The activity was ended with a social program, in which is visited the best – known historical heritage of the city of Prizren.
