The School of Magistrates welcomes candidates of the first year for magistrate, state advocate, legal assistant and advisor, on the verge of the beginning of the Program of Initial Formation. In the introductory meeting, candidates were known with the structure of the program, lecturing methodology, as well as with SMVSHM platform, which will accompany their academic and practical formation.
The most important innovation of this academic year is the implementation of new curricula, reformulated and reviewed based on the philosophy of “learning through acting.” The new program tends to mentor the candidate; tends to the preparation of acts step by step; tends toward cooperation, analysis, debate. This innovation intends to provide a consolidated practical formation of legal skills and at the same time has a clear orientation towards non-legal skills such as ethics, self-reflection, awareness of the social, economic environment, cooperation with colleagues, etc.
Skills and competences that are intended to be achieved in the first year are organically united with those intended in the second and third years of the Program of Initial Formation, being developed and appreciated progressively. The main purpose is that at the end of the 3 year program, candidates to be ready to serve in the system of justice, with high professional and human qualities.
In the presentation, candidates were known with:
- The new methodology of lecturing and evaluation;
- The use of the digital platform SMVSHM;
- Organizational aspects of attending lectures in the auditorium, and of professional practice.
