The School of Magistrates, on 3 April, 2024, organized the training activity on offenses of terrorist purposes, on topic:
“Terrorist organizations, offenses of terrorist purposes, the financing of terrorism, the concealment of funds and of other assets, that finance terrorism, recruitment of persons, training and intimidation for the commitment of terrorist acts, the accomplishment of services and actions with persons declared for relations with terrorism as well as encouragement, public calling and propaganda for the commitment of these terrorist acts.”
This activity was led by:
- Sandër Simoni, expert;
- Rudina Palloj, facilitator.
The purpose of this training was:
- The progress of the knowledge of participants regarding criminal offenses on terrorist purposes, in the national and international context, with good international practices, with the Rabat Memorandum on good and effective practices for the judgment of criminal offenses against terrorism, as well as good domestic practices and issues of the elaboration of criminal offenses in the field of terrorism.
In this activity were elaborated various topics such as:
- The analysis of case laws in trial in the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime.
- The discussion of the trial of criminal offenses against terrorism; obtaining and consideration of evidences, protection of witnesses, victims, evidences and electronic monitoring during prosecution and international judicial cooperation.
- The analysis of practices and procedures in the framework of international cooperation in issues of anti-terrorism intending the use of evidences obtained in countries of the origin of terrorism.
- The encouragement to be used the best and most effective national and international practices in the judgment of case laws regarding this topic.
In the training activity were used the combined methods of explanation, discussion, analysis, including theoretical and practical analysis accompanied by cases of practice, where participants were active all the time, being part of discussions with each – other and with the leading panel.
In this training took part judges, prosecutors and officers of the judicial police of the Republic of Albania.
