NOTIFICATION
The Directive Council of the School of Magistrates was gathered today on September 1st 2016 to discuss on the new regulation anticipated by the Law “On the transitory reevaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, approved by the Parliament of the Republic of Albania on August 30th, through which is charged the School of Magistrates to organize an extraordinary competition for the recognition of 25 candidates for magistrate (divided in judges and prosecutors), correspondly for each academic year 2016 – 2017 and 2017–2018.
- With the scope of the taking of all necessary measures that the School of Magistrates might be preliminary prepared on the effects that will be created from the application of this law, after its coming into force,
- to avoid a situation which, in the case of the commencement of the competition, planned for September 5th, would make inapplicable the legal regulation which obliges the School of Magistrates to add the number of competing candidates, for the academic year 2016-2017, anticipated in the law “For the transitory evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”,
- to avoid the problematic which may be created because of the organization at different times of competitors which would force the School of Magistrates to start the academic year 2016-2017, with two courses of candidates for magistrate, not at the same time,
- to give the sufficient time to a great number of interested ones, on the procedure which is anticipated in the actual law and in the Internal Regulation of the School of Magistrates, who prepare to compete in a more transparent, all inclusive process, and within a reasonable period of time,
- in order to have a correct continuation of the competition, as well to create all the necessary legal spaces, that, on one side, the process of competition may not be obstacled, but may be done normally according to the procedures envisaged by the law no. 8136, date 31.07.1996, “On the School of Magistrates of the Republic of Albania”, changed and, on the other side, the declaration of winner candidates, at the beginning of the new academic year 2016-2017, to be realized after the coming into force of the law “On the transitory reevaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”,
The Directive Council of the School of Magistrates, decided:
Not to organize in September 5th 2016 the competition for the academic year 2016-2017, but in another date, within the month of October 2016, which will be established through a sentence of this Council, as well as to extend the deadline for the presentation of the documents for registration for the recognition’s examination 2016-2017, from competing candidates up to September 23rd 2016.
