The Steering Council of the School of Magistrates was gathered today, on 24 April, 2024, to receive complete information on the progress of the first phase of the admission test in the School of Magistrates, as well as to discuss on the continuation of this process.

For his part the Director of the School presented a complete report on the up to now progress of the admission test. The Steering Council was informed on the problem that was caused by the objective and completely technical impossibility, to publish immediately, after the electronic evaluation through the scantron device, the list of winners of the first phase of the admission test.

The Director of the School, simultaneously even the administrator of the test, informed the Steering Council on all the steps followed by the School of Magistrates and the Commission of Electronic Evaluation and concretely:

  1. Firstly, the Director of the School after the noticing of/that:
    1. a rather small number of candidates that resulted as winners, compared to other years;
    2. there were theses that were evaluated with 2 points, or 5 points, etc.;
    3. the scantron device had read 96 answers out of 100 answers of the key of test thesis, but also  considering  the immediate appeals of competitors present in the test hall, ordered the beginning of an administrative verification process and the making available to the Commission of the evaluation test a new scantron device, that would evaluate the answers of competitors;
  2. Secondly, the Director of the School ordered that, after the verification from the Commission of the electronic evaluation, to be published the list of winners of the first phase and after the completion of this process, to start the verification of all complaints submitted by competitors, in the accomplishment of obligations and rules established  in the Regulation of the School of Magistrates;
  3. Thirdly, was informed the Steering Council on the intensive and rather voluminous work of the Commission of the electronic evaluation for reviewing the complaints, as well as for the recording of this process;
  4. Fourthly, was assured the Steering Council that the  Commission of the electronic evaluation has collected and administered every application or complaint, submitted physically or in the official address of the School, and the result of the decision – making of this commission will be notified in 24 hours from the moment of the publication of the list of winners;
  5. Fifthly, the Director of the School reasoned that the process followed by the School of Magistrates was in complete harmony with the public interest, and with the purpose that the recruitment process in the School of Magistrates be impartial, transparent and based on merits.
  6. Finally, the Director of the School informed the Steering Council, that after the verification of theses, in the presence of competitors, there was no contestation or insecurity by them.

The Steering Council discussed in complete the information transmitted by the School of Magistrates, on the public interest of this process, on the steps that were followed and on the continuation of the admission test concluding that, solutions given by the administration of the test, the Director of the School of Magistrates, and further on, the work of the Commission of electronic evaluation, demonstrates an attempt of the School for the strict accomplishment of legal and moral obligations that accompany the recruitment process.

The Steering Council, after discussing and arguing that, in spite of the attempts of the School of Magistrates, to make possible the publication at 15.00 of the date 24.04.2024, of the final list of competitors that will participate in the second phase of the test, a schedule that was established for the development of the second phase of the test and that the very short term between the publication of the list and the start of the test could cause insecurities or efficient impossibility of candidates to participate in the test of the second phase, proposed that the test be postponed until the next day, date 25 April, 2024, at  8.00.

The decision of the Steering Council with the dates and the times of the development of the second phase of the admission test will be notified again for the public.
