Report on judicial response to femicide in the Western Balkans

The School of Magistrates in cooperation with AIRE Centre presents the report on judicial response to femicide in the Western Balkans.

This work is undertaken by the Gender Champions in the Judicial Network and comes as the result of a joint commitment to fight the gender based violence and femicide in all the region of the Western Balkans.

The report represents the current state on the response of the judiciary versus femicide in the region of Western Balkans. It gives a summary and makes an analysis of large national researches made by devoted organizations and individuals. It has data and valid statistics, although destructive ones, on femicide and the response of the judiciary versus it; it gives a clear vision of the relevant national legislation; and has cases that illustrate the approach undertaken by different states. The report considers not only the current position, but even that of perspective, because it considers what has to be changed and what should all learn to restrict femicide in history.
