International training program on contemporary issues of human rights

In the context of cooperation with the Justice Academy of Turkey and the Academy for Judges and Public Prosecutors of the Republic of Macedonia, the School of Magistrates participated with its representatives in the “International Training Program on contemporary issues of human rights,”   that was organized on 22 - 24 May, 2024, in Shkup, North Macedonia.

Purposes of the activity: 

1. The organization of the competition with presentations for candidates for magistrate regarding a judicial case from the jurisprudence of the ECtHR that is related to the participating country; 
2. The providing of an interactive seminar on the issues of the time on human rights, intending the consolidation of knowledge, skills and experience of candidates for magistrate in the field of human rights; 
3. The providing of a productive environment in the relations between institutions of the judicial training of the region; 
4. The exchange of the best experiences and the creation of new spaces for cooperation between judicial institutions.     

During the activity:  

• The representative delegation of the School of Magistrates realized the presentation of 

“Deprived of liberty, but not deprived of the right to live and human treatment”;

• There was provided information and were treated cases according to the recent developments in the field of Human Rights;
• There were analyzed issues of human rights and artificial intelligence, the human rights and environmental protection, etc. 

In the training activity were used combined methods of power point presentation, discussion of questions, presentation of practical examples that make much more interactive the dynamic of the activity.
